Parksgiving Returns: Growing a Tradition of Giving

Last year, Park launched Parksgiving to help local families celebrate Thanksgiving with a warm meal. Thanks to the generosity of our team and members, donations filled the branches and meal kits were prepared and delivered across Louisville, the Bluegrass, and Southern Indiana.

This year, we’re building on that momentum with our second annual Parksgiving. Starting October 6th through November 13th, our branches will, once again, serve as collection points for Thanksgiving essentials.

We’re seeking shelf-stable favorites such as:

  • Boxed stuffing
  • Instant mashed potatoes
  • Canned corn
  • Canned green beans
  • Canned sweet potatoes
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Gravy packets or jars
  • Boxed macaroni and cheese
  • Rice or pasta sides
  • Shelf-stable pie filling
  • Evaporated milk
  • Marshmallows
  • Dinner rolls (shelf-stable or packaged)

We are also accepting direct cash donations here. They are tax deductible, and go directly toward purchasing essential Thanksgiving meal items!

Our goal remains the same: Feed at least 100 families this Thanksgiving. After seeing the outpouring of support last year, we know this community is capable of even more

With your support, Parksgiving will continue to grow as a celebration of community and compassion, a tradition we can all be proud to carry forward.
