Park Community Credit Union - Nspire

Nspire is more than the philanthropic arm of Park Community — it is the direct call to action from Park to continue serving the community and their needs. Drawing on the roots of the credit union movement, Park realized the importance that social determinants of health have on a person’s ability to be financially sound.

Together, Park and Nspire have laid the foundation for change by listening, forming partnerships, dispensing funds, and developing programs to initiate equitable opportunities for our region’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods and people. We believe in the power of communities, the value of equity, and the promise of a better tomorrow…. because everyone deserves to be well and live well.

Upcoming Grant Opportunities

Empowering BIPOC Communities in the Opioid Response Grant Program

Nspire + KORE

KORE is the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort, a state-federal program partnership funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The purpose of KORE is to implement a comprehensive, equitable response to Kentucky’s opioid and stimulant use disorder crisis by expanding access to a full continuum of high quality, evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery supports. (KORE, 2021)

Nspire and KORE have partnered to raise awareness and decrease stigma associated with substance use within Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities with the Empowering BIPOC Communities in the Opioid Response grant program.

The consequences of substance use disorders are exacerbated by longstanding racial and ethnic disparities in behavioral health care as well as the war on drugs. Thus, this grant opportunity aims to reduce disparities by increasing outreach and engagement within BIPOC communities that are underserved and most at risk.
