*Applicant must qualify for membership and be 18 years or older at time of account opening. $5 is required to open and maintain a Primary Savings account. The Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on a Regular Savings is 0.15% as of 10/1/2024.Rates are subject to change without notice and may change after account is opened. Brightside Checking has a standard $10 monthly maintenance fee (called Brightside Fee). Fees may reduce earnings. Bonuses earned may be subject to IRS reporting. There is no credit score requirement for Brightside Checking. Brightside Savings Jar opens automatically with Brightside Checking with automatic roundup from debit card to Savings Jar account set up at account opening. Federally Insured by NCUA.
1Savings Jar: If the member has a Brightside Savings Jar account, roundup deposits for any debit card on that membership must be deposited to the Brightside Savings Jar account. All round-up amounts across all checking accounts enrolled into round up program are totaled and posted in one deposit to the Brightside Savings Jar nightly. No manual deposits (in branch, ATM, ITM, mobile) are allowed for the Brightside Savings Jar account to ensure correct tracking at the annual match period. Does not replace the Regular Savings Account – members must still open a Regular Savings Account with their membership. Earns same dividend rate as the Regular Savings Account. Access in Digital Banking is Inquiry Only.

2Annual Deposit Match: Every year on the anniversary of the account opening, we will match either the balance or the amount of roundup deposits to the account(lesser of the two) up to $250. Example: If account is opened on 7/30/24, on7/30/25 we will look at roundup deposits from 7/31/24-7/30/25. Match will be deposited on 7/30/25.

3Overdraft Fees: Brightside Checking is eligible for refunds of Courtesy, Overdraft, and NSF fees. Fee will be automatically refunded at the time it is charged. The available balance must be brought positive within 2 calendar days of balance going negative; if not, fee will reapply to account. Fee refunds occur for NSF items, even if they do not bring the account balance negative (if no other items cause the account to go negative). Example: Member’s account goes negative, and fee is charged today – the fee is immediately refunded. Then, the member has tomorrow, and until 7pm the following day to bring the account’s available balance current. If the available balance is not positive at that time, the fee will be charged.

4Overdraft Protection: Brightside Checking comes with $250 in Standard Courtesy Overdraft Protection (checks and ACH transactions). Not eligible for Courtesy Plus. Member must still opt in or out of Standard Courtesy ODP.
