What is Changing?

Since our early days as a credit union created for employees of the GE Appliance Park in Louisville, Park has held a special place in the hearts and minds of so many. The connections and unique relationships between members, employees, and our communities has been nothing short of bold, empowering, and special.

As Kentucky’s largest Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Credit Union, the way we operate will always be a little different from other banks and credit unions. This past year, our team embarked on journey to connect and learn from our members, community partners, and employees to put to words the magic of Park that has been strong since 1965. This resulted in a clearly defined strategic direction for the future of your credit union.

Our New Logo

Founded in 1965 as a financial cooperative for GE Appliance Park employees in Louisville, Kentucky, our credit union has evolved significantly. Our original identity was deeply rooted in the iconic GE monogram. As our membership expanded, we reimagined our brand to capture a sense of togetherness and community, inspired by the swirling motion of the GE logo.

Looking ahead, our "Park" logo was designed to evoke a feeling of unity, support, and community, mirroring the collaborative spirit of our members.

Our New Colors

Our people mean what we say and say what we mean. The Park logo is anchored in black and white to signify the boldness, clarity, and truth that we project to our members and communities. This self-assuredness is accented by a soulful glowing gradient that signifies transition and opportunity. We are One Park-our members, employees, and communities rise together to create a new reality and a new way of managing finances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Was the Credit Union sold or has it merged?

No – Park has not been bought by another financial institution – nor have we merged. The Credit Union continues to be a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. Every member with an account at the Credit Union is an equal owner. We are the same credit union, same name, same amazing people!

Will the new brand affect the service I receive at my branch?

Absolutely not. You can continue to expect the same great service at your branch and see the same faces that you always have at our branches. We encourage members to visit their local branch and experience the vibe!

When will all of this be happening?

We are going through the transition now and you may see some updates happening throughout our branches.

Will you still be headquartered in Louisville?

Yes, we will remain headquartered in Louisville. Our roots are here, and we will continue to have branches throughout the area.

Will the routing number change?

No, it will remain the same.

What about my accounts?

There are no changes to your accounts. Your accounts and your account numbers will stay the same.

What about my Checks?

You can continue to use the checks that you have. When it is time to reorder your checks, your new order of checks will have the new logo design on them. If you would like the new logo on your checks, you may re-order at any time.

Will my ATM Card and Debit Cards be changed?

No, your Park Community Debit and ATM Cards will continue to work and will be reissued when your current card expires.

What will happen to my current Park Community Credit Card?

Your Park Community Credit Card will continue to work until your usual expiration date.

When will the new instant issue debit cards be available in branches?

September 16.

How will I know I’m at the Credit Union’s correct website?

Although our logo and colors have changed, the information on our website has not. Near our URL you will notice the lock symbol and https prior to the url indicating the secure site.

Will I still be able to access the Park mobile app?

Yes. There will be no change to the mobile app besides the icon refresh.

How can I stay up to date with Park Community?
