Speak to a Park Financial Counselor

Financial Hardship Assistance Program

Who Qualifies

This program is for Park members struggling to keep up with loan payments because of circumstances such as:

  • Job loss or reduced income  
  • Illness, injury, or disability  
  • Death of a spouse or household wage earner  
  • Divorce or legal separation  
  • Military service  
  • Business failure  
  • A natural disaster or other circumstances beyond your control  

What Qualifies

The Financial Hardship Assistance Program applies to the following loan products:

  • Mortgages 
  • Credit cards
  • Auto loans
  • Personal loans
  • Business loans
  • Home equity lines

What to Expect

Once we receive your completed application, our team will conduct a full review of your situation and your ability to meet your loan obligations, typically within 15 days.

Please continue making your scheduled payments during this time if you’re able. We can’t guarantee approval, but we can guarantee every application gets a fair, careful look, and you’ll hear back from us either way.

Required Hardship Documentation

Our team is committed to understanding your circumstances and exploring available solutions. We are here to support you throughout the process and will do everything we can to help you navigate this challenging time.

Unemployment

Required:
Employment Discharge Letter, or
Unemployment Benefits Award, or
Copy of the most recent unemployment benefit disbursement

Reduction of Income

Reduction of Income: a hardship that has caused a decrease or loss in your household income due to circumstances outside of your control (elimination of overtime, reduction in normal working hours, a reduction in base pay)

Required:
Evidence establishing the reduction of income
Two most recent months of pay stubs and/or bank statements from the financial institution where your direct deposits are received (if Park is your primary financial institution, please disregard).

Long-Term, Permanent Disability, or medical related issues

Serious illness or injury of yourself or a dependent family member,

Required:
Written statement from member or other documentation verifying the disability or illness

NOTE: Detailed medical information is not required and information from a medical provider is not required

Death of a family member or wage earner in the household

Required:
Death certificate, or
Obituary (from newspaper or memorial webpage)

Divorce or Legal Separation

Required:
Divorce Decree signed by the court, or
Separation Agreement signed by the court, or
Current evidence showing separate addresses

Business Failure

Required:
Dissolution documents proving closure of business, or
Last 2 years of tax documents
Two months of most recent statements proving the cessation of business activity, or
Notice of Bankruptcy filing for business

Increase in Housing-Related Expenses

A financial hardship resulting from a significant increase in housing costs due to circumstances beyond your control.

Required:
Verification/documents supporting the explanation of hardship

Disaster Impact

A natural or man-made disaster that has adversely affected the borrower’s property, residence, or place of employment.

Required:
Verification/documents supporting the explanation of hardship

Other: Financial hardship resulting from circumstances not otherwise listed above.
