Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do at Park Community Credit Union — from serving our members to supporting one another. That spirit was on full display at this year’s Louisville Corporate Games, hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission.
The annual event brings local companies together in a positive environment that promotes employee wellness, builds company spirit, and fosters teamwork through friendly competition and fun.
On a beautiful Saturday, nearly 50 Park employees and family members came together for a day of team building, camaraderie, and competition. Participants competed in a variety of bracketed and non-bracketed events, earning points, creating memories, and representing Park with pride.
Before the games began, Park was already competing. The disco vibe was alive and well long before the first whistle blew. After winning the Best Team Tailgate award last year, expectations were high and our team delivered. Embracing this year’s theme, our tent featured colorful streamers, disco-ball balloons, record-inspired décor, and plenty of retro flair. Our team sported custom “Catch the Vibe” shirts featuring our mascot, Parkie, dressed as John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever.
We kicked off the day with a family-friendly Wellness Walk that brought all teams and participants together for a one-mile walk. From there, teams spread out across the campus to compete in events including dodgeball, volleyball, a relay race, 3-on-3 basketball, basketball shootouts, lawn pong, water balloon tosses, and football throws.

One of the most memorable moments came during the tug-of-war tournament. Our team pulled together — literally — to advance to the championship match against Texas Roadhouse. With determination, strength, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines, Park claimed victory and brought home a first-place trophy.
At the Corporate Games, every point mattered, but laughter, camaraderie, and team spirit mattered even more.
“Bringing home a trophy was exciting, but the best part of the day was seeing how Park showed up — cheering loudly and having fun together. That’s what winning looks like,” said Robin Rueff, AVP of Marketing at Park.
And by that measure, Team Park was the champion.
Now that’s a vibe worth celebrating.
