PARKsgiving: Sharing More Than a Meal This Thanksgiving

The holidays have a way of bringing people together, and at Park Community Credit Union, that’s what PARKsgiving is all about.

Each year, Park employees, members, and community partners come together to help local families celebrate Thanksgiving with a warm holiday meal. What started in 2024 has quickly grown into a community-wide effort supporting neighbors across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Last year, PARKsgiving helped provide Thanksgiving meal kits for 175 families. This year, we’re once again collecting food and monetary donations to help make the holiday a little brighter for families in our communities.

But PARKsgiving is about more than food.

Each meal kit includes a handwritten note from a Park employee, member, or volunteer. These messages share words of encouragement, gratitude, and holiday wishes, reminding recipients that their community is thinking of them during the Thanksgiving season.

The Park team assembles every meal kit complete with protein, side dishes, dessert, and note before delivering them to neighbors in Louisville, Lexington, Berea, Richmond, and Southern Indiana. We’re often met with big smiles, warm hugs, and sometimes happy tears from both recipients and our team members.

Those moments quickly transform a bag of ingredients into something much more meaningful: vibrant connection.
