HERO Certified to Help You Navigate the Now, Next, and New

At Park, financial guidance has always been more than a service. It is part of who we are. We believe banking should focus on people, not just products. That is why, for years, our members have had access to financial consultation through trusted one-on-one conversations. Our team takes the time to listen, understand, and help chart a path toward greater financial well-being.

Today, that promise has grown stronger. Every single Park team member is now a certified financial counselor through the national Helping Everyone Reach Opportunities (HERO) certification program.

This milestone means that no matter where or how you connect with Park, you will meet someone trained to provide financial guidance with care, clarity, and confidence. Whether you walk into a branch, call us on the phone, or meet us at a community event, you will be speaking with a HERO-certified team member who is ready to support your journey.

The HERO Certification Program

HERO is a national certification program created specifically for credit unions. Its purpose is to ensure every team member is equipped to provide financial guidance that goes beyond transactions.

Through HERO, Park employees are trained to:

  • Plan proactively by helping members set goals, save for milestones, and build financial resilience.
  • Respond with confidence by offering clear and practical support when unexpected challenges arise.
  • Coach with encouragement by providing tools and strategies that inspire positive progress.

By completing this program, every Park employee is now a certified financial counselor. More than a credential, our certification is a commitment that ensures you will always find someone prepared to walk alongside you, no matter what stage of life you are in.

Navigating the Now, Next, and New

What does this look like for our members? It means support across all stages of life:

  • Now: taking control of today’s budget, managing debt, or easing financial stress.
  • Next: saving for a first car, building credit, or preparing for homeownership.
  • New: planning for major milestones such as starting a family, retirement, or lifelong dreams.
