We’re proud to share some exciting news with our members—Park Community Credit Union is being featured in an episode of the acclaimed documentary series Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid!
This special episode, focused on the credit union movement, highlights how institutions like Park Community are shaping the future of community-centered financial services. Park was selected for this national spotlight because of our unwavering commitment to empowering underserved communities across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
The documentary takes an in-depth look at how Park Community is making a difference through deep-impact lending and inclusive financial programs. It features interviews with key members of our team, including President/CEO Jana Erny, Vice President of Multicultural Engagement Raymond Smith, Executive Director of the Park Community Foundation Shannon Kisselbaugh, and Park member and local entrepreneur Chiquita Shields.
“At Park Community, we are proud to be a pacesetter in the credit union movement, amplifying the impact of financial services as a force for good,” said Jana Erny. “Being featured on Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid highlights our steadfast commitment to empowering underserved communities and building pathways to financial accessibility. Park Community is not simply a financial institution – we are a movement.”
Since our founding in 1965 as the credit union for GE Appliance Park employees in Louisville, Park has grown to serve a broad and diverse membership across the Kentuckiana region. As we approach our 60th anniversary, our mission remains clear: to build thriving communities together, through financial inclusion and empowering underserved communities.
The Viewpoint film crew visited Louisville in November 2024 to capture the heart of our work and the voices of those we serve. The segment began airing nationally in April 2025 and will continue to run throughout the year.
We invite you to tune in and celebrate this milestone with us. Check out the feature below or visit parkcommunity.com/viewpoint.
