Park staff came together to celebrate two milestones: being named a Best Place to Work in KY and officially welcoming our new mascot, Parkie Panda. The day highlighted what makes Park special, blending recognition of our people with the joy of adding a fresh, playful personality to our story.
From Pup to Panda
The festivities kicked off with a surprise appearance from the original Parkie, the pup we’ve all grown to know and love. His surprise entrance and dance finale was followed by a heartfelt moment, where he passed the symbolic bamboo baton. Parkie Panda will now carry the torch, or in this case, the bamboo stalk, as the credit union’s mascot personality moving forward.
Parkie Panda wasted no time showing off his playful side. He turned the atrium into a dance floor filled with laughter, handshakes, and high-fives, before leading a parade through the halls of headquarters that ended in the Community Room.
Bamboo and Beyond: Crafting Memories
Inside the Community Room, creativity took center stage at Parkie’s Bamboo Bar. Every team member received a lucky bamboo stalk and was invited to customize their arrangement with gravel and stones in Park’s signature colors.
The make-and-take craft served as a personal keepsake to commemorate the celebration.
Picture Perfect
A themed photo booth gave staff their first chance to make memories with Parkie Panda. Candid shots, group photos, and selfies with our newest friend filled the space with laughter and excitement.
A Feast Fit for a Panda
The Parkie Express buffet brought everyone together for a spread of Panda Express favorites. Conversation and laughter carried through the Community Room as colleagues shared a meal, put together Parkie puzzles, and enjoyed a well-earned break.
Grand Parkie Panda Plans
Parkie’s introduction began with the staff, and the fun is just getting started. In the months ahead, Parkie Panda will be out and about, joining events, and taking part in local celebrations. His presence will showcase the playful and welcoming side of Park while building stronger connections with the people and the communities we serve.
