The Park Community Credit Union Foundation has had a season filled with meaningful recognition, community support, and exciting plans for the months ahead. From national coverage to local fundraising success and an upcoming gala, the Foundation continues to expand its reach and impact in Louisville, Southern Indiana, the Bluegrass Region and beyond.
National Spotlight
The Foundation was recently featured in CreditUnions.com, a leading industry publication produced by Callahan & Associates. As one of the most widely read resources in cooperative finance, CreditUnions.com highlights the people, programs, and innovations shaping the future of credit unions nationwide. Being featured is a significant recognition of the Foundation’s efforts and its commitment to reimagining what philanthropy can look like in our region.
The article highlighted the Foundation’s transparent and accessible approach to philanthropy. From hosting webinars that guide applicants through the grant process to offering one-on-one office hours and feedback sessions, the Foundation provides every nonprofit with tools to strengthen their mission. Whether or not an organization ultimately receives funding, the Foundation seeks to ensure that the process is a positive step forward for everyone who applies.
Giving That Grows

In September, the Foundation participated in Give for Good Louisville, the city’s largest day of charitable giving. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the Foundation met its fundraising goal and gained new momentum for programs that expand educational opportunities, strengthen financial wellbeing, and improve neighborhoods across the region.
Give for Good Louisville is more than a single day on the calendar. It is a chance for the entire city to come together in support of local nonprofits. For the Foundation, Give for Good Louisville serves as an opportunity to connect with new donors and highlight the impact of its mission. Every dollar raised helps fund scholarships, financial education, and community projects that create lasting change.
Friendsgiving Gala

Next on the horizon is the Foundation’s second annual Friendsgiving Gala, happening on Friday, November 21, 2025, at The Jeffersonian. The Gala blends celebration with purpose, bringing together supporters, community partners, and Pathways to Prosperity grantees for an evening of gratitude and giving.
Attendees can look forward to a delicious fall-inspired dinner, live music by V-Groove, and both silent and live auctions featuring local experiences and items. A bourbon and wine pull and a 50/50 raffle will keep the energy high, while inspiring stories from nonprofit partners will showcase how donations are making a difference. Guests are invited to embrace the seasonal theme with “Harvest Hues Cocktail” attire, creating an atmosphere that feels festive yet relaxed.
Last year, the Friendsgiving Gala welcomed more than 240 attendees and raised nearly $60,000. That success made it possible for the Foundation to launch its first internal scholarship that will begin accepting applications in 2026 directly benefiting students in the community. This year’s gala promises to build on that momentum and continue shaping brighter futures for those the Foundation serves.
